the founder and president of T. A. Grimm & Associates, Inc. He
specialises in technology speeches and charges $1750, for 30
minutes!

She charges $210 to speak to small
groups about reflexology, herbal healing, typology, dream
interpretation, nutrition, and herbal preparations.

Jamie Sylvian from London (after he
read my course) now charges £225 per ticket for a

And my own success of

About ten years ago I was sitting in the audience
listening to a speaker I knew was paid $3000 to deliver a 45
minute keynote speech at a conference. This fee did not include
his plane fare, hotel or meals.
As I sat there listening I thought, " Hell, I could do a
better job than that."
That kind of money was mine if I
took the time to learn how to speak in public.
It just needed a commitment. So on that very night I made a life changing decision.
I would do everything I had to do to become a well paid speaker and I
would NEVER GIVE UP!
AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID.
* I identified the topic and target market I wanted
to speak to. My experience was teaching, so the obvious choice was
teachers. Since that time I have added two other niche markets,
business managers, and health care providers.
* I wrote a one hour presentation called Managing
Teacher Stress which included stories and humor. I used my
past experiences and those of friends and colleagues. I studied the
subject to learn as much as I could.
* I polished the presentation until it sparkled
and learned it so well that I could give it in my sleep.
* For the first
two months I gave that speech FREE to anyone who would listen. We all have to start
somewhere, and giving it free was actually worth a fortune in experience for me.
* I started charging after two months. By that
time I was confident when I spoke, I knew how well my audience was
receiving the speech and I was comfortable delivering it. My speech had
become 'valuable' and I knew people would be happy to pay to hear it.
* Then I began marketing like crazy. I sent
letters and faxes, spoke to people on the phone. I sent a sales
letter to anyone that was even remotely interested, and the bookings
started to come through. Slowly at first, but as my name got
around the bookings came in.
* The more I spoke the bigger in demand I
became, so the higher I raised my fees. I kept raising them
it by bit, and as I became more successful people were willing, even expecting
to pay much higher fees than they did in my early days.
Now I speak between 40 and 50 times a year for
between $2500 and $ 3000 a speech, and through my coaching
programme, I can teach you to do the same, and earn the
same, as I do.
